Putting up Dry-Loc for added protection |

Here's the office portion of the basement. We moved all of the computer equipment from the opposite corner.

The storage room is complete. That is, except for the door and the wall, but all of the shelving is up. The studs to the right are the back wall (screen side) of the theater.
This shows the view from the screen back towards the rear wall. Starting to come together!

Shot from the far corner towards the screen wall. |
Another shot of the theater. The entrance will be to the right of the red pole. You can even see the blueprints for the theater on the far stud wall!
The door leading to the equipment room is framed in. You can see the beginning of the raised stage for the rear seating area.
Some more shots of the rear wall, including the deck for the raised second row. The window won't be a problem, since it will be in the equipment room

Here's the completed riser. It sits about 8 1/2 inches high. The top isn't secure yet, since I have to wire the electical box and cords for PS2 and Xbox.
A view from inside the theater looking at the theater entrance. Some of the electical outlets can be seen.
Nothing too interesting, framing, outlets and a little drywall.

The first (and hopefully only) problem I've had. It's hard to see in this pic, but the doorway is slightly blocked by the computer desk. There is plenty of room between the wall and desk, you just have to go in on a slight angle. No biggie

From the equipment room. This is the beginning of the built in equipment rack. The bottom will be at the bottom of the pic, by the 2x6. The top will be about 6 feet higher. The boxes are for electrical and wiring. There will be more...much more

Insulation going up. The blank spot is where I have to run speaker wiring yet.
More insulation. The left wall is the screen side. The blue circle on the right wall is for a wall sconce. I have four wall lights planned, 2 on each side of the room, for lighting. They will be attached to a dimmer switch
Looking at the screen side wall. The plastic is a vapor barrier. I put it up on this wall, since it is an exposed wall. The other side is where there is a cedar closet, storage closet and the bathroom.

Well, here's my new baby! Did a quick check with a DVD player and WOW, the pics looked great....straight outta the box and onto a piece of drywall!!! |

Here are the screen samples sent to me by Da-Lite. Not sure what to go with yet. |
The piece of drywall that I was projecting on to test the projector. |

Literally, a screen shot of the (original) blueprints. I'll get a better pic later. |
